INITIAL STUDY FOR DETERMINATION OF CARBON IN SOIL RESPIRATION IN FOREST ECOSYSTEMS OF CHU YANG SIN NATIONAL PARK

This study aimed to determine the carbon in soil respiration (FC Soil) by "closed-chamber flux" method combined with noise filtering method in data processing for National Park Chu Yan Sin (Vietnam). The initial research results at 9 observation points in 11 day period showed the significance of filtering in eliminating interference data and this improves the correlation coefficient from 0.7 up to the asymptotic value to 1 (in the range 0.9907 to 0.9999). The results also showed that the amount of CO2 emissions by soil respiration is different depending on space and time. The nighttime value is greater than daytime one and the difference in the survey period is about 7.7% with a correlation coefficient R2 = 0.9259.
