BIOLOGICAL AND ECOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF Breynia fruticosa (L.) Hook.f. AND Breynia rostrata Merr. IN TAMDAO NATIONAL PARK

In the article some detailed biological characteristics as morphology, flowering time, seed dispersal of Breynia fruticosa (L.) Hook.f. and Breynia rostrata Merr. are studied and some of their ecological characteristics are also given. In Tamdao National park, both species have good regeneration capacity and distribute mainly in the restored secondery forest, the plantation forest and grassland and shrubs. Terrain and light are the most important factors affecting mainly the distribution, growth and development of the species. Especially, B. fruticosa is most found at the foot and the slope of the mountains from 50 to 150 m above sea level; B. rostrata is more distributed at the mountain slope from 150 m upwards above sea level.
